Kristen Petroff, Owner – SMBC

Hi and Aloha! About me? Born and raised in Southern California, now living in Oregon after traveling the country and getting to live in Hawaii. I have a passion for the ocean, cats, and the love of my life.

My accounting career began at a travel agency in Beverly Hills. After applying for a receptionist position, and with my high school computer training, they asked me to work as a junior accountant. I had just turned 18.

By the time I was 25, I was the controller of a 30-million-dollar international travel agency in Brentwood, CA. When 80-hour weeks became too much for me, a new mom, it was time to quit, and I went into business on my own collecting commissions travel agencies lost to the airlines. Then the airlines capped commissions, and I was out of a job.

Then I ended up at a silk screener/golf club manufacturing company that used QuickBooks and Peachtree and took a liking to QuickBooks. The company went out of business, and I went to work for a Public Works Construction Company where I learned even MORE about QuickBooks.

Today I work with a multitude of different companies that are located across the US, focusing solely on small businesses using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.

From retail to wholesale, construction to imports, non-profits and for-profit companies, I can get your books in order quickly, efficiently and correctly.
